WHAT IS THE AXIS SYLLABUS?
The Axis Syllabus is a repository of useful information concerning the use, preparation, treatment, structure, function, limitation and potential of the human body in motion. The Axis Syllabus is a sincere support for a collective effort towards individual health sovereignty. It is constantly reviewed, edited, updated and monitored for health and welfare veracity and utility. It is not intended to instruct, but to inform, in the understanding that the only kind of consent is informed and in the recognition and respect for consent as the modern moral basis for all social interaction.
WHAT IS THE AXIS SYLLABUS RESEARCH MESHWORK?
The ASRM is an informal consortium of independent movement and fitness teachers, dancers, acrobats, physiotherapists and scientists who are inspired by Frey Faust's innovative project. The members of the ASRM see the value in Frey's initiative in consolidating the Axis Syllabus and the humanitarian contribution in his philosophy of a shared information gathering effort. The ASRM are people who want to make sure that the content the AS is up to date and relevant. The ASRM are people who want to integrate the knowledge of the AS into their daily lives and their work and share it with the world.
* Anthropologist Tim Ingold describes environments as meshworks where ideas and values are like threads floating through space.
The places where these threads get tangled are knots. “These lines are bound together in the knot but they are not bound by it."
WHAT IS THE ASRM FORUM?
The ASRM FORUM is a knowledge-rich environment that encourages and supports self-motivated learning in the manner and approach suited to aptitude and interest. The ASRM FORUM is a pro-active, interactive, informal university. Rather than standardized, one-size-fits-all institutional curricular framework and arbitrary timeframes that harass and pressure people towards obsolete or socially irrelevant objectives, the ASRM FORUM gives the member the chance to choose the area of their own interest, determine the time-frame for study and application, as well as engage critically and productively with mentor, colleague and author.
