Call for Abstracts
Deadline March 1, 2022
Two more weeks remain to submit an abstract for the 32nd Annual Conference in Limerick, Ireland October 28-31, 2022. We are accepting abstract submissions until March 1, 2022, 11:59pm GMT. We are seeking abstracts with innovative research in the field of dance medicine and science to be presented to our multidisciplinary community.
We highly encourage you to read the Abstract Submission Guidelines before submitting your abstract. These guidelines outline everything that must be included in your abstract submission including abstract formatting requirements and presentation formats. Read more about the IADMS Publications Committee writing support primarily aimed at those for whom English is their second language or with less academic writing experience. Note: You will need to include a brief bio of all co-presenters during the submission process.
We have some exciting events for our attendees to look forward to for our full four-day conference this October! A full conference program will be available in late-May 2022. The conference will take place in three main fully accessible buildings on campus, plus Friday at the Castletroy Park Hotel. The Concert Hall and Main Building are a short (5min) walk across an outside courtyard in the center of campus. The Irish World Academy building is a 10min walk across the lovely "living bridge" from the Concert Hall. The Casteltroy Park Hotel is across the street from the campus's main entrance and a 10min walk to the Concert Hall. Our program will allow for transition time between events and we encourage our attendees to bring walking shoes and an umbrella! Accommodation information and reservation details coming soon.
NEW Linda and William Hamilton Annual Dance Wellness Symposium
IADMS is pleased to announce the newly introduced Linda and William Hamilton Annual Dance Wellness Symposium to be held in conjunction with the IADMS Annual Conference. The purpose of this interdisciplinary symposium is to highlight dance medicine professionals whose emerging research on wellness focuses on the multifaceted aspects of physical and psychological stressors on those who dance. Collaborative papers encompassing three or more recognized fields in dance medicine will be considered for presentation (see the full list of recognized fields in the abstract submissions system).
We are currently seeking submissions for consideration of the Hamilton Symposium, which will be focused on emerging collaborative research papers. The selected recipients will be chosen by an independent adjudicating body and will be informed of their acceptance prior to the conference. In addition to a $1,000 monetary prize, the recipients will be awarded a certificate of achievement and their work will be presented within the Hamilton Symposium section of the 32nd Annual Conference. When completing your abstract you can choose if you would like your submission to be considered for this award.
If you have any questions throughout the submission process please email email@example.com.
