Inappropriate effort hampers and endangers, both our bodies and the object of our intent. Strength is only useful or helpful when the force output is coordinated to the specific task. Picking up and putting very light to very heavy household objects down on the floor, we study whole body posture vis a vis center of gravity migration and the utility of the different roles that arms and legs can assume. The moments when we start to lift and when we replace the object on the floor are of special note.
